3 month old baby boy needs your help...PLEASE DONATE OR ELSE HE WILL DIE (Not a SCAM)

This is addressing anyone who is reading this blog with money or with a kind heart. This is not a SCAM, I am not trying to get views, i have no advertisements in my blog nor am I selling anything. This is for my nephew, look at my profile on facebook and my blog, I am a possible future lawyer, an honest Filipino citizen and I am begging for your help and only your help.

My nephew, Zachery Mc Nathan Alvarado (Nate) was born on May 27, 2010 with a congenital heart disease called tetralogy of fallot. He is otherwise known as a "blue baby" because usually babies with this condition has bluish skin or has a "Tet Spell". Actually, it is a miracle he surviving. Nate's heart is not pumping ANY BLOOD TO HIS LUNGS AT ALL and the reason he is alive now is because THERE ARE SMALL VEINS CONNECTING FROM HIS HEART DIRECTLY TO HIS LUNGS GIVING HIM OXYGENATED BLOOD. Veins that are not supposed to be there.

It's the miracle of life!

Now, He needs at least 1 Million Philippine Pesos or USD 23,000 to have his surgery ASAP or else my nephew might not survive his first year. (That's only for his surgery on his heart aloney) Worst is, he also has a dilated kidney. (Which needs another big amount for the surgery)

Before he turned 3 months, he has been in and out of the hospital because of his condition, he has been having repeated Urinary Track Infection. My nephew was born and IS big and healthy, he has a big chance of surviving the surgery for his heart and kidney but the problem is my sister and her husband do not have enough financial resources for his operation.

They had a considerable amount set aside but due to the bills this is fast depleting. We need a kind soul to please help us. Please Donate or give us a loan. We promise we will pay it back. Slowly but surely though we know we can't guarantee anything. Of course, how can you just trust a complete stranger but I assure you, my sister and his husband both have jobs they can pay it back. I will also donate in paying back when I graduate law and become a lawyer and get a job. I did this blog just so that the baby can have a better chance to live hoping and praying that someone out there will answer our call. They have already started getting rid of their properties just to save his life. Anyone out there please donate for this baby and make your own life worth living. ANY AMOUNT WILL DO. It's good karma and you know you helped. Even if you don't believe in God, someone out there greater than you will reward you in this life, in kind or in blessings.

UPDATE: Right now, Nate (my nephew) is in Manila with my sister and her husband. He underwent a major surgery to immediately address his dilated kidney which has already started to get infected due to the fact that his urethra and bladder are not connected. So the doctors put a tube in his side so as he can urinate without a risk of infection. :( It's so sad it made all of us cry. He's too young for all of these things! In fairness, The doctor said that Nate is rare because most babies who have his condition are irritable but Nate is smiley and with a happy disposition. Proof that Nate wants to live and we love him sooooo much.:( Please Help US ANYONE. This baby is smart, I can feel it. He can make a difference in society when he grows up.

Again this is not a SCAM. Why would I use a baby to gain money? For any kind soul willing please donate at marianjanealumbro@yahoo.com through paypal. That's also the same account I used to be paid for being a ghost writer before and I'm using it now for Nate's sake. I accept Paypal and Bank payment through my Banco De Oro account or most major Philippine Banks just contact me comment below for the account number or email me at the same email.

Thank you for at least reading. If you know anyone who can help please refer us. God Bless you!

How to waste your time

It's just one of those lazy days and I had a long day. However, I realized I did so many things today that didn't make me tired until now because I was enjoying what I was doing and I did something that was actually necessary. hahaha To start off my day, I went to work. After that, I had a surprise lunch with my friend whom I hadn't seen in a long time. Then, I went to her boarding house to chill and talk. I had my IDs laminated, bought an ID sling and we almost had a traumatic experience but that didn't stop me from going to the hospital to visit my baby nephew. After playing with the little twerp, I went to school to distribute the Bar Operations t-shirts and Jackets to those who ordered. Had dinner with a lawyer friend, got home late in the evening and still had chance to do my nails. In between all of that, I still had time to tweet and talk to my boyfriend over the cellphone. I realized how with in 14 hours of my day I was able to do so many things. Before, I used to think 24 hours a day was such a short time to do anything especially when you are studying law. But I guess it became short because I always wasted my time doing unnecessary things. Well I guess you could say, "Unnecessary things" are my way of "de-stressifying" from a life full of responsibilities. Now, I feel like slowing it down before I go to sleep and I just wanted to blog about ways to waste someone's time.

Follow 10 easy steps to be unproductive.
1) Facebook, blog, twitter and/or join all the social media you could find. Face it, facebookers you know you spend 15 mins doing something important yet end up 2 hours in front of facebook and twitter.
2) Online games. (need I say more?)
3) Watch TV series.
4) Read manga, comics or vampire love story novels.
5) Chat over ym with friends.
6) Downloading and Playing with your iphone apps.
7) Playing portable gaming. (e.i. PSP, etc.)
8) Tell knock knock jokes.
9) Talk about other people.
10) Read this blog.

*laughs out loud* and that's how I wasted 20 mins of my life :D

One night stand or friends with benefits?? Which would you choose?

This was the topic of "Bobby and the Gang" a couple of Thursdays ago. The house was divided as to which is better and ultimately it was a stalemate. No one wants complications so abstinence would be the key to avoid it.

One Night Stand

PROS
1) Interesting, it's something new.
2) You can pretend to be as interesting as you want them to think.
3) No obligations, no bullshits.
4) No commitments.
5) Slim chance of meeting them AGAIN someday.
6) Safe when you're cheating, no giving of numbers.
7) If you already know this person it's personally easier to just pretend it never happened since it was just a one time thing.
8) No flaws are usually notice at this time.

CONS
1) Not safe, you don't know this person might be psycho, then again that's where the thrill is.
2) You could fall in-love at first sight, or not.
3) You'll regret it especially if you were drunk as hell that time.
4) You don't know where this person has been to.

FRIENDS WITH BENEFITS

PROS
1) You're comfortable with this person being acquainted already.
2) You can always have a mutual understanding about your relationship.
3) It could lead to something more like a serious relationship.
4) The companionship is constant but the heartache is not.
5) You know them so you know they are not a psycho, hooker or criminal.

CONS
1) Complications arises especially when the other party falls inlove and the other does not.
2) A lot of misunderstandings will arise so you are forced to keep it in secret. (Admit it, it's kinda hard telling people you're not in a relationship, you're just Fubu's)
3) Anytime one can just leave and you are left alone again with out a companion in your lonely nights

Up to you to decide the meaning of the two terms. As for me, been there, done that. Serious relationships are still the best!

Loving someone who brings out the worst in you...

If you're like me when it comes to relationships then probably you've dated a lot and I have dated a lot. I met guys in all the wrong and all the right places and have regretted most of them but a selected few I can actually say meeting them was a pleasant experience. Some made me feel like summer, some made me feel like hang over, some guys were just there for experience, some were just plain there. I don't deny the fact that I fall easily probably it's because I do believe the one for me is out there maybe I've found him now but I don't want to expect too much at this point. Things change but that's not what I want to blog about. I want to blog about people who bring out the worst in you. As my friend terms it, "Loving a monster".
It's human nature for us to show our best side especially when we are with people we just met. It happens when you are dating this cute guy or girl the first time. You make sure they find you as interesting as you want them to think and make sure that you always have a "good time". However, I think most would agree with me that once you are in a relationship with this person, you enter in to that level in the relationship where you're too comfortable with each other that the barriers and inhibitions are gone. You start showing the real you, you start voicing out your opinions more, disagree with them more and even fart in front of them. Imagine yourself in the position of the other person. She/ He is saying to him'herself "What happened? Who is this person? This is not who I went into a relationship with. Why doesn't he open the door anymore? Why doesn't she sleep with me more? Why are we arguing more?Etc." Well reality check, either they lost interest or that's who they really are. We know this ourselves that once you just let go of your best side, your real side shows up and that other person might not like it. Hence, that's mostly the reason why relationships fall apart and lovers tend to grow apart.
So how do we know? We don't. Being in a relationship means you are joining another person, another human being, who grew up differently from you, who has a different life and thinking, into your life. You can't always make them adjust to you because they can't always make you adjust to them. You know very well who you are. Marriages work because they live in the same house, eventually their lives will intertwine and things are easier to accept. On the other hand, marriages fall apart because no one in the relationship will accept reality and wants to stick to the "ideal" (e.i. the time when she wasn't this fat, the time when he wasn't bald, the time when we used to have a lot of fun now, we're just boring, the time when we had money, etc.)
So what we need to do is throw away those idealistic views about someone and a relationship and accept them as  they are. Being in a commitment means you are there even if it is not your comfort zone anymore. If you really can't take it anymore, be honest at least and leave the other party in peace, hurting yes, but in peace.
The worst of it is when you fall for someone who just gives you that love-hate type of relationship which probably most will not understand. My advice, let them go. They don't deserve you at your worst, when they were only with you at your best. I say that because at your worst, is the time you will grow, is that best time in a person's life to change and be transformed. After that, whoever stayed, is the one who is for you. However, a caveat if you may: Never do anything you know you would never do later on if you had not felt that way. Remember, any love, hate, anger, bitterness or happiness that you will feel right now will pass but the regret will last a lifetime.

How to update your blog, tweet on twitter and update your facebook by just TEXTING for FREE, no need for WIFI or using a smartphone!

Hi guys, I recently discovered a cool trick in the book from my geek friends. If you're living in the Philippines, a cool service can now let you update your blog, tweet on twitter and update your facebook at the same time. Before I teach you this is what you need to know.

1) It's secure. You just text a gateway number which is a regular number like (globe, TM, smart, sun) Note: Standard text rates and unlimited text applies. So if you're globe and smart, unless you are subscribed to unli texts, you pay P1.00 per text and SO if you're a SUN user, it's unlimited.
2) No it's not a third party because they don't ask for your password in your accounts.
3) You need to have a facebook and twitter account. (or if you have a blog that's cool too)
4) No sign up necessary. Just follow the simple steps.
5) You can choose which to update via Text Messaging: Whether you just want to blog without updating on twitter, or you just want to tweet without blogging or updating on facebook, or just updating your tweet and facebook status.

Question 1: How to tweet using SMS?

Step 1: Log in to your facebook and twitter accounts. Don't log out.
Step 2: Go to www.tweetitow.com
Step 3: Click the "sign in using twitter" button. No, you won't need to sign in your user name and password. Just the button. Remember I made you log in to your twitter and fb account already right?
Step 4: Follow the steps there to register your number. (They provide you a pin to register your phone and your twitter name. There's no hidden charges and they won't ask for your password)The gateway numbers depend on the service provider that you have.
Step 5: You're done. Save the gateway number on your phone. It's just a regular number.

If you want to tweet just message the gateway number like a regular text. Then it will automatically update on your twitter. You can't read any of the messages of the people you are following though, you need to go to the usual method to do so (like, log in using a computer) that but they can read yours. :)

Note: There is no limit to the characters that you can post. The beauty is that it depends on the capacity of your SMS provider and cellphone.

Question 2: So, how do I update my facebook status AND twitter at the same time if I choose? (Just keeps getting better)

Step 1: Go back to your facebook.
Step 2. In your search bar. Type the word, "Selective tweets" to look for the application you will use.
Step 3: When you are in the app page, blow the application profile pic, Click "go to application".
Step 4: Type in your twitter name on the text box provided. Then click "SAVE" Note: Again they will not ask for your password just your twitter name.
Step 5: You're done!
Bonus: Go to application settings. Check the box that says "Allow the #fb tag anywhere in the tweet?"

When you want to update your fb status at the same time, just message the @tweetitow gateway number your twitter update (space) #fb e.i. "Hello! Wassup twitter and facebook?#fb". The beauty of it is, you can CHOOSE which update on twitter you can post on your facebook status. Hence the application is "Selective" tweets. So if you don't put a "#fb" at the end of your sms tweet, it won't update on your facebook, just your twitter. It works the same as well if you type it using the regular method in the twitter website. (By the way, the "#fb" does not show up on your facebook status, just your twitter.

Question 3: So, how do I update my BLOG, FB and TWITTER at the same time, IF I CHOOSE?

Step 1: Go to www.posterous.com. (Make sure you are logged in to your blog already. Same as previous steps.)
Step 2: Click the "Sign in using facebook" button. Again, they will not ask for your facebook log in and password. It's automatic that they will link the two accounts.
Step 3: Make a posterous account. It is necessary so you can change the settings of which account on facebook, twitter or your blog you want to update.
Step 4: Once you're done with that. Look at the left portion of your homepage on posterous. There is "Settings" then below that is "Autopost". Click that.
Step 5: Once they lead you to the Autopst settings, Click "Make changes".
Step 6: Then click "Add Service". Check out there the list of services they support. Facebook, twitter and blogger is one of them so check out if they support your blog as well.
Step 7: Choose which is your service you want to update at the same time among the list. Note: if you add facebook, then it will update your FB and Twitter account at the same time automatically and you can't selective tweet so just don't add your FB if you don't want to, just your twitter and blog.
They won't ask for your blog log in. It will just automatically connect to your blog, facebook and twitter like the previous steps.
Step 8: You're done! You can do this optionally by typing: P (space) Title of blog (space) ^ (space) blog entry and then send it to the @tweetitlow gateway number. Again, standard SMS rates apply so if you're Globe or Smart, you pay P1.00 every text or unlimited if you are subscribed to unlimited texts and if SUN, Unlimited of course! No character limit and so it depends on your phone capacity! Note: The P is necessary in the beginning of the message to command that you updating your blog via posterous. If you won't put that before your SMS, it will just update on Twitter. The ^ is necessary command for them to know it is your blog title. If you forgot it then they will just update your blog without any title.
E.i.
Text message: P Testing^hey! Yo!
send it to the @tweetitlow gateway number.

Step 9: If you want to update it on your facebook status, just add #fb before or at the end of the sms blog entry.(That would depend if you changed the settings of the application as stated in the Bonus step in Question 2)

If you don't have a facebook but you just want to update your blog using sms, you can just add your blog and it will work the same way. But twitter is necessary for you to register in the first place and text the @tweeitow gateway number. BUT, if you don't want your twitter account to be updated when you update your blog, just don't add your twitter account in the services but you can still update your blog using the same process. (SEE? How cool is that?)

So there you have it! It's a long process though but it's worth it since you can now tweet, blog and update your facebook status BY TEXT MESSAGING  if you choose and you're the boss which to update and your accounts are 100% safe.:)

If you have any other questions feel free to like my blog and post comments. I'll try to answer the questions which are not already addressed in my blog.

There are a lot of things you can do with posterous though but I just blogged about what I find most convenient. So just explore for yourself!

Important: Sometimes the system is lag and it will take time to update your blog, twitter and facebook. That depends on the SMS service provider and the server of the websites since at times a lot of people just texts or tweets but it does update. Be patient. Happy tweeting!

testing

i just want to see if i can update my blog using sms.
